As Deputy Vice President of Programs, Alex volunteers his time to organize signature programs including Poder25™, HNBA’s general counsel pipeline and leadership training initiative, as well as workshops, regional meetings, and other HNBA-driven programming.
On January 20, 2020, Alex was appointed as the Special Assistant to the General Counsel for the U.S. Department of Transportation. In this role, he works closely with DOT’s senior leadership and nearly 500 attorneys to support the legal, operational, and policy matters concerning all of the Department’s operating agencies.
Prior to joining the Biden-Harris Administration, Alex was a finance attorney at the New York Office of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, an international law firm, where he represented large financial institutions, lenders, borrowers, and equity sponsors in a wide variety of financial transactions. While there, his article covering recent Delaware court decisions on shareholder appraisal rights and their potential impact on the legal pillars of U.S. corporate law was published in the Marquette Law Review.
